Our programs help members develop healthy relationships with peers and adults, while building character to be role models and leaders in our communities. We help them build leadership skills, develop a sense of civic responsibility, and prepare for the future. Health and Wellness

We offer many sports and recreation programs and our gym is perfect place for our Club members to enjoy some physical activity. Our Health and Wellness programs help ,develop young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors to nurture their well-being, set personal goals and grow into self-sufficient adults. This multi-purpose room for visual arts. Youth can "color their dreams" with drawing, painting, sculpting, and much more! Youth will be able to use their creativity to make masterpieces that can be submitted for local, regional, and national competitions. Shipman & Goodwin Preforming Arts Center

The intimate multi-purpose performing arts room that can hold music, dance, and theater. There are many opportunities for high yield learning in the performing arts. Youth can learn music and the history of music that comes from all over the world, including an American art form such as jazz. They can also learn a variety of dance styles ranging from ballet to hip-hop. Instruction from specially trained professionals will equip youth with the skills necessary to pursue performing arts in high school, college, and as a career.

Our Workforce Readiness

Homework Room

The Boys & Girls Clubs equips our members with the skills, knowledge, training and education they need to pursue their goals and interests. Power Hour is a homework-help program which encourages Club members to become self-directed learners through daily homework help and tutoring.

The Boys & Girls Clubs is committed to closing the opportunity gap in science, technology, engineering. arts and mathematics (STEAM) with innovative and creative programs, activity ideas and resources for Clubs and the youth they serve. After-school and summer learning environments provide unique opportunities to advance STEAM knowledge and increase interest in STEAM-related careers.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford provide families with convenient, safe neighborhood-based locations. We operate five full-service clubs in Hartford as well as four public school-based sites in Hartford and Bloomfield and an Early Learning Center.
